“I bathe in Your glorious Light and it soothes my soul.”

When I was a young boy, I can remember daydreaming about sitting up and floating in the clouds. Those thoughts would bring me the most indescribable feelings of peace and joy. There was a completeness in me in those brief moments. Almost as if God was touching me. A pureness and a clarity with an otherworldly sensation. I know that my teachers used make comments in my report cards, that I tended to daydream in class a lot. So I guess I’ve always had my head in the clouds. Lol! As I grew older, and life happened, as it does for everyone, these moments of peace would occur less frequently. But every so often, I get a glimpse of them, even now, and I thank God every time for that gift.

I created this cloudscape painting from my imagination. My goal was to paint those childhood imaginary clouds, the ones I always wanted to climb into and once again experience that same peace. I hope this painting brings you some peace to.
